Fun Barbeque Facts
Did you know that the word 'barbecue' has its roots in the
Native American language?
The word barbeque comes from the Native American word "barbacoa," a
framework of green sticks used to skewer food to be cooked over a fire,
a method used by the Spaniards. Some speculate that the word comes from
the French word "barb a queue," roughly translated "from head to tail."

Did you know the first barbecue was most likely hosted by
Prometheus?
Prometheus is the mythical figure who stole fire from the gods and gave
it to mankind. Theoretically, this makes him the first one to have had
the power to throw a barbeque. One of the first known grills was found
in 5000 B.C. at Knossos, on the Greek isle of Crete, where King Minos
ruled.
